Deep Fried Pork Large Intestine

Pork large intestine is not everyone dish, because some will prefer other parts of the pork as their meal. Some will find troublesome to do the preparation and cleaning the intestine. But if you can handle the preparation and cleaning, it’s worth with the result. Crispy and tasty deep fried pork large intestine!

Prepare the pork intestine by turn the intestine inside out and peel off and scrub the inner coating of the intestine, if there is any.
Then rinse with the clean water.

Pour in apple cider vinegar in a large bowl, and soak the intestine for about 25-30 minutes.
Remove the intestine and set aside.

Transfer the intestine into a pot, pour in the water and add in the ginger, green onions, garlics and rice wine. Bring to boil.
Then reduce the heat and bring to simmer for about 30 minutes.

Remove the intestine from the heat and wash thoroughly. Cut the intestine crosswise into small pieces of bite size.

Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fry machine or pan fry over medium high heat. Once heated, deep fry the intestines until golden brown and crispy.
Remove from the heat and transfer to paper towel-lined plate to drain the excess oil.

Serve it on a plate and garnish with a pinch of salt and ground black pepper.
If desire, serve with your favorite fresh vegetables, like celery and lettuce leaves.
