Bulgogi is a classic Korean dish that consists of thin slices of beef that are marinated then grilled or stir-fried to perfection.

Steps

1
Done

In a large mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, rice wine, garlic, and ginger. Mix well until the sugar is dissolved.

2
Done

Add the beef slices to the marinade and mix well, making sure that each piece of meat is fully coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to 24 hours for best results.

3
Done

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the vegetable oil. Once the oil is hot, add the onion and sauté for 1-2 minutes until slightly softened.

4
Done

Add the marinated beef (and any optional vegetables) to the skillet and stir-fry for 5-7 minutes, or until the beef is cooked through and the vegetables are tender.

5
Done

Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds, and serve hot with steamed rice.
