The crunchy texture and savory taste of this pancake makes it one of the most popular Chinese street foods. Making your own pancakes which suitable for breakfast or dinner menu with this simple recipe.

Sift the all purpose flour into a bowl.
Add in salt into sifted flour and combine well.

Dig a hole in center part of the combined flour. Slowly pour in the hot water in the hole and wait for 10 minutes.

Stir in the cold water and sesame oil, and knead the dough for 10 minutes or until the dough become soft, smooth, shinny and not sticky. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.

After resting, add the chopped green onions into the dough and combine well.

Divide the dough into 4 pieces equally. Then make each dough into a ball using our palms.

Brush each dough with oil and roll one dough at a time into a cylinder. Then coil it up into the shape of snail.

Roll each dough until flat using the rolling pin.

Heat the vegetable oil on the frying pan over medium heat. One at a time, fry the pancake for 3 minutes or until turn lightly brown with brown spots each side. Repeat for the rest of pancakes.

Remove the pancakes from the heat and serve immediately. Garnish with your favorite chopped herbs leaves if you desired.
