This Czech Dried Apple recipe is a simple and delicious way to enjoy the natural sweetness of apples all year round. The apples are sliced thin, sprinkled with cinnamon sugar, and slowly baked until they’re crisp and perfectly dried.
Steps
Done | Preheat your oven to 170°C (340°F). |
Done | Wash and peel the apples. Using a sharp knife or mandoline slicer, slice the apples into thin rings (about 1/8 inch thick). |
Done | In a bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon together. |
Done | Place the sliced apples in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. |
Done | Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the apple slices. |
Done | Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 2-3 hours or until the apples are completely dry and crispy. To make sure the apples dry evenly, turn them over every 30 minutes. |
Done | Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the dried apples cool completely on the baking sheet. |
Done | Once the dried apples are cooled, you can store them in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks. |
