Directions
Kofta Kebab is a delicious and savory dish made with ground beef or lamb mixed with aromatic spices. Kofta Kebab is shaped into elongated meatballs or cigar-shaped patties. Threaded onto bamboo skewers and grilled to perfection. Served with a side of yogurt sauce, they make a mouthwatering and satisfying meal that’s easy to make and sure to please.
Steps
1 Done | Preheat the grill or grill pan to medium-high heat or preheat the oven to 400°F. |
2 Done | Soak bamboo skewers in water for at least 30 minutes before using, to prevent them from burning during cooking. |
3 Done | In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef or lamb with the onion, garlic, parsley, cilantro, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine. |
4 Done | Divide the mixture into equal portions, and shape them into elongated meatballs or cigar-shaped patties, each about the size of your palm. |
5 Done | Thread the meatballs or patties onto the skewers, leaving some space between each piece. You can also shape them into smaller meatballs and thread them on shorter skewers. |
6 Done | Brush the kofta kebabs with olive oil, and let them sit for a few minutes to absorb the flavors. |
7 Done | Grill the kofta kebabs for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through. If using an oven broiler, place the skewers on a baking sheet lined with foil and broil for about 10-12 minutes, turning once or twice, until browned and cooked through. |
