Directions
Thai fried rice, also known as khao phat, is a flavorful and satisfying dish that can be made easily at home.
Steps
1 Done | Heat the oil in a wok or large frying pan over medium-high heat. |
2 Done | Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and stir-fry for about 1 minute until fragrant. |
3 Done | Add the mixed vegetables and continue stir-frying for another 2-3 minutes until they are cooked but still crisp. |
4 Done | Push the vegetables to one side of the pan, and add the beaten egg to the other side. Scramble the egg until it is cooked through. |
5 Done | Add the cooked jasmine rice to the pan and stir well to combine with the vegetables and egg. |
6 Done | Add the fish sauce, soy sauce, sugar, salt, and black pepper, and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until the rice is heated through and evenly coated with the seasoning. |
7 Done | Add the chopped green onion and stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes. |
8 Done | Serve hot and enjoy your delicious Thai fried rice! |
